Terms of use

These terms apply when you use BusinessCalculator.co.uk.

Who operates this website

BusinessCalculator.co.uk is operated by Bizworks Online Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11958108. Registered office: The Studio, Brentmoor Road, Woking, Surrey, GU24 9NE. Email: info@businesscalculator.co.uk.

What the site provides

The site provides free business calculators, explanations, worked examples and general business information, written mainly for people dealing with UK business calculations. There is nothing to buy, no account to create and no subscription.

Results are estimates

Calculator results are estimates based on the figures you enter and the assumptions shown on the relevant page, together with the statutory rates configured for the applicable tax year or effective period. Rates, thresholds, allowances and government rules change, and a calculation that is right today may not be right after a Budget or fiscal event. Each statutory calculator shows the tax year it uses and when it was last reviewed, and the methodology and sources pages set out how the figures are produced and where they come from.

Not personal professional advice

The information and results on this site are general. They are not personalised tax, accounting, legal, investment or regulated financial advice, and using the site does not create a professional relationship. Bizworks Online Limited is not connected with, authorised by or endorsed by HMRC or any government body.

Your responsibility

Before relying on a result for a decision that matters, check the figures you entered, the assumptions listed on the page, the tax year applied, and anything specific to your own business. Where the amount is significant, confirm it with a qualified accountant or adviser.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw calculators and content.

Permitted use

You may use the calculators freely for your own personal or business purposes, and you are welcome to link to any page. Search engines and other legitimate crawlers are welcome. You may not interfere with the operation of the site, attempt unauthorised access, scrape it at unreasonable scale, or republish our original content or calculator implementations as if they were your own service.

Intellectual property

The site design, branding, original written content, worked examples and calculator implementations belong to Bizworks Online Limited. We claim no ownership of government or statutory material, third-party trademarks, or other content we do not own. Statutory rates are public information.

Links to other websites

We link to GOV.UK, HMRC, the Bank of England and other authoritative sources, and may link to third-party commercial services. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products or terms.

Commercial relationships

Where a link is commercial, it is identified as such at the point you see it. The full position is set out in our affiliate disclosure, and commercial relationships never change what a calculator works out.

Liability

The site is provided free of charge for information. To the extent permitted by law, Bizworks Online Limited is not liable for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue or anticipated savings, arising from use of the site or reliance on a calculation. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Court proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, and consumers may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the UK nation where they live.
