Affiliate disclosure

How this site is funded, and the line we draw between commercial content and calculations.

How we make money

The calculators are free to use and always will be. Where we suggest a product or service, a business bank account for example, we may earn a commission if you go on to open an account. That commission is paid by the provider and costs you nothing.

What commission never affects

  • The result a calculator gives you. The maths is identical either way.
  • The formulas, rates or thresholds used.
  • Whether a calculator warns you about something.
  • The explanations, assumptions or worked examples.

Commercial content is kept separate from the calculation. It appears as a next step after the answer, never before it, and never as a condition of seeing your result.

Our rules for commercial content

  • No invented providers, prices, rates or savings figures.
  • No commercial module unless there is a real, approved partner behind it. If there is nothing genuine to show, nothing is shown.
  • Sponsored links are marked as such and open in a new tab.
  • No pressure tactics, countdowns or "best deal" claims.
  • No email capture before results, and no registration.

Current partners

We currently have no active affiliate partners, so no commercial modules appear anywhere on the site. This page will list them by name as soon as that changes.

Our approach to calculation independence is set out in full in our methodology. Commercial enquiries: info@businesscalculator.co.uk.
